Following several discussions over the last couple of months between the Academy administration and several members of the Alumni Association, we are pleased to announce the formation of an Academy Hall of Fame.
The Academy Hall of Fame will honor alumni whose deeds and character exemplify outstanding achievement in their life’s work and/or service to their communities. The honoree’s spirit and leadership are worthy of recognition and have inspired praise and gratitude among his or her peers.
More details are to follow but a rotating selection committee will consist of one alumni, one current student, one faculty member (current or prior), one Academy parent and possibly Dr. Russo.
The current eligibility requirements for the Hall of Fame are as follows:
- The candidate must be nominated by a fellow alumni
- The candidate must have graduated from MCASMET at least five (5) years ago
- The candidate has reached a high level of achievement in his/her field and made significant contributions to that field
- The candidate has demonstrated leadership, character and service both within and beyond his/her career
